Hello. My name is Mallory Tater.
I am a feminist, poet, fiction writer, reader, educator, dog-lover, sister of 3, fiancée, Master of Fine Arts Graduate & Master of Caesar Sippery!
I am a very proud member of the Can Lit and Van Lit communities, but that doesn’t mean I think they’re just and perfect and making space for diverse voices. And I feel helpless about this all the time. So I want to create dialogue. I want to make space. And I want to enjoy the summer sun while it’s here.
Glamato is a fun, safe space for us to critique, share and offer thoughts about what our current literary climate in Canada looks like and where it needs to go. It is also a space for emerging or established writers to chat about their upcoming projects, writers they’re reading, and to promote local events.
I think we can be a better community if we slow down, sip, soak up the sun (Sheryl Crow reference ON POINT AND ON PURPOSE) and just listen to each other.
